Have a Heart for Public Art. Sunday April 21.

The Easthampton City Arts Public Art Committee, of which we are a member, is thrilled to bring back the ‘Have a Heart for Public Art’ fundraiser brunch! Thanks to the generosity of our friends at Galaxy, 100% of the proceeds from this year’s event will directly support the upcoming restoration efforts of Easthampton’s beloved mural created in 2010 by Peggy Grose, Nashawannuck Pond Wildlife, located on Pine Street in the Cottage Street Cultural District. This mural is showing its age and is in dire needs of some rejuvenation.
Below, the mural back in 2010 (with a couple of local celebrities!). Please go see for yourself how much TLC it needs!
And then come to this “all-you-can-eat brunch buffet” that will include vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and a cash bar!
This brunch will also feature live music, silent auction items, including a $250 Gift Certificate from Big Red Frame, as well as goody bags that include a poetry compilation created by Easthampton Poet Laureate Carolyn Cushing, in celebration of Easthampton Poetry Month.
There will be two arrival times for the event — 10am and 11:15am but note that all guests are welcome to stay for the full duration of the event!
Tickets can be purchased here + in the link of our Instagram bio:
The Public Art Subcommittee of ECA extends their heartfelt gratitude to Casey Douglass and the entire Galaxy family for their longstanding generous support of Easthampton City Arts, local public art, and the City of Easthampton’s growing arts community.
